Puentes Para Familias
Emergency Family Support Program
Stand with families in crisis by providing rapid aid to families impacted by immigration detention. When a head of household is detained or separated from their family, households lose income and childcare overnight, leaving children to face housing instability, food insecurity, and trauma.
The Puentes Para Familias program keeps families whole by providing up to $2,500 in emergency aid for bond, rent, utilities, childcare, or other urgent costs that threaten a family’s stability. Every dollar helps bridge the gap between crisis and recovery — keeping hope alive and families together.
About Community Bridges
Since 1977, Community Bridges has been a catalyst for a brighter future by opening doors, offering hope and providing a hand up to the people of Santa Cruz County. Each year, our family of 10 programs, across 20 different sites, meets the needs of over 20,000 local children, families and older adults. While each program is remarkable on its own, brought together, we are unstoppable.
Our family of ten programs delivers essential services, provides equitable access to resources, and advocates for health and dignity across every stage of life. Every year, we meet the needs of thousands of local children, families and seniors with broad support from individuals, businesses, foundations and government. We believe that when we work together, anything is possible.
